Yvette is sinds 1993 advocaat en voert een advies- en procespraktijk gericht op aansprakelijkheid, corporate governance en corporate litigation. Daarnaast is zij regelmatig betrokken in internationale handelsgeschillen, al dan niet via arbitrage. Vanuit haar jarenlange ervaring fungeert Yvette, tactisch en strategisch, als trusted boardroom advisor.

Zij begeleidt uiteenlopende ondernemingen en instellingen, zowel (semi-publieke) stichtingen als beursgenoteerde ondernemingen, en staat een breed spectrum aan bestuurders, commissarissen en aandeelhouders bij. Regelmatig opereert zij in (reputatie)gevoelige onderzoeken en (claim)zaken. Yvette procedeert vakkundig in kort geding, bij de Ondernemingskamer (enquêterecht, wanbeleid) en is betrokken in spraakmakende complexe (internationale) bodemprocedures. Daarnaast fungeert zij als door de Ondernemingskamer benoemde onderzoeker, beheerder van aandelen of vereffenaar.

Yvette doceert aan postdoctorale opleidingen, spreekt op seminars in binnen en buitenland, is JOR annotator, redactielid van de bundel Vereniging Corporate Litigation en is lead author van de Chambers Litigation Practice Guide ‘Chambers Global Practice Guide on Litigation 2019’. Zij is vice president van de IBA Litigation Committee, bestuurslid van de Vereniging voor Corporate Litigation en verder lid van de Commissie Buitenland van de NOvA en van het curatorium VU leerstoel Corporate Litigation. Ook is Yvette actief binnen VNO-NCW. Vóór de oprichting van Florent was Yvette partner bij Höcker.
