Florent

In the summer of 2017, BLIX and four partners from Höcker Advocaten (and their teams) will start the new firm, Florent.

The firm will open its doors with around 30 lawyers. It is being established by Yvette Borrius, Pieter van den Brink, Matthijs Brons, Hanneke De Coninck-Smolders, Chris Jager, Kees van de Meent and Jurjen Tuinman. The firm will offer top-quality legal advice and representation in complex matters relating to dispute resolution and governance, insolvency and restructuring, and corporate and M&A.

Florent will assist companies and organisations at crucial moments in their existence on issues which really matter to them –from start-up, merger & acquisition, cooperation and governance questions to dispute resolution, restructuring and insolvency topics. In this respect as well, the new firm will offer first-class services in the real estate and employment areas. These services will be provided at reasonable rates and in a no-nonsense, hands-on and personalised way by quick, flexible teams.

Many lawyers at Florent have already been working a long time with each other in liquidating the assets and settling the liabilities of the insolvent department store V&D and the restaurant chain La Place. Through such productive cooperation, the lawyers have demonstrated their complementary expertise here, with superior quality, personal commitment, flexible services and a goal-oriented approach being integrated seamlessly with each other. The firm’s founders and their teams look forward to pooling their strengths in a robust firm with a clear focus and thereby playing a very meaningful role for their clients.
